Abstract
⺠Dual-frequency harmonic imaging provides nonlinear detection of microbubble contrast agents at both f0 and 2f0 frequencies. ⺠The 2f0 second harmonic and the f0 inter-modulation harmonic signals should be simultaneously suppressed to improve CTR. ⺠A novel phase-coded DF pulse sequence comprising of transmit phase in the equidistant set of {â2Ï/3, 0, +2Ï/3} is proposed. ⺠Experimental results indicate that tissue harmonic suppression by about 20 dB can be achieved with the phase-coded sequence.
