Abstract
⺠A method for rigorous computation of orbital conjunctions is presented. ⺠The method is based on the formulation of a global optimization problem. ⺠Time and distance of closest approach are rigorously computed. ⺠The effects of uncertainties on conjunctions are studied exploiting Taylor polynomials. ⺠The problem of Near Earth Objects and space debris is addressed.
