Abstract
This paper considers the prospects for growth of space tourism, including commercial tourism development on the lunar surface. It is argued that from both economic and social points of view this seems desirable. Moreover, lunar tourism could grow quickly once reusable passenger vehicles start passenger services to low Earth orbit. It is suggested that this possibility should be allowed for in plans for lunar science research, in order to maximise results before research on some topics becomes impossible.
