Abstract
The probability of occurrence of extremely large energetic particle (SEP) events is determined by both the general properties of the distribution function, and the character of this function in the region of large particle fluxes (fluences and peak fluxes). Choosing the most authentic function for describing the experimental distribution, we can extrapolate this function into the region of fluxes, which have not been recorded yet till now.
