From the volume-limited main galaxy sample of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey Data Release 6 (SDSS DR6), we construct an early-type sample and a late-type sample, and perform comparative studies of clustering properties between them. It is found that the distribution of late-type galaxies is more filamentary. In addition, in the late-type sample, the fractions of single, close double and multiple galaxies are higher than the ones of the early-type sample, but the fraction of grouped galaxies is lower. We also randomly extract a subsample from the late-type sample, which has the same galaxy number and number density as the early-type sample, compare clustering properties of this subsample with ones of the early-type sample, and reach the same conclusions.
