Abstract
The emission of Sn or Xe plasma with a mean ionization ãZã â¼Â 10 yields a complex array of overlapped spectral lines, which is challenging to model. We propose a computational inexpensive but effective approach for the detailed spectral analysis and hydrodynamic simulations. The method is based on preliminary detailed calculations for simple homogeneous plasma layers with a specified radiation field. In this case, it is possible to perform the calculations including level kinetics and radiation transport using several thousands photon frequencies to represent in detail each spectral line. These data are then used to obtain radiative properties and emission spectra in hydrodynamic calculations in a complex 2D geometry for a non-homogeneous non-stationary plasma.
