Abstract
- LIDAR instrument on Phoenix Mars mission obtained measurements of atmospheric dust.
- Most of the dust resided within the planetary boundary layer (PBL).
- Vertical distribution of dust indicated the PBL was evenly mixed.
- Backscatter color ratios indicate dust effective radii in range 1.2-1.4 μm.
