Observations of the northern seasonal polar cap on Mars II: HiRISE photometric analysis of evolution of northern polar dunes in spring

► Spring activity in four locations inside the martian north polar erg is examined. ► Different sides of dunes show different seasonal evolution. ► Differences in the sublimation behavior of surfaces at small scale are identified. ► Seasonal behavior of north polar dunes is comparable to the south polar areas.
