Abstract
► The impact of topography on Titan's atmospheric angular momentum is investigated. ► The mountain torque consists of a diurnal and semi-annual component. ► The mountain torque is mainly caused by equatorial mountains hit by easterlies. ► Mountain torque causes a net transfer of angular momentum into the atmosphere. ► The atmospheric angular momentum is larger if topography is present.
