Abstract
Rate coefficient of the cyanide anion (CN−) with cyanoacetylene (HC3N) reaction, has been studied in gas phase at room temperature using a Flowing Afterglow Langmuir Probe – Mass Spectrometer (FALP–MS) apparatus. The rate constant for the CN− + HC3N reaction is k = 4.8 × 10−9 cm3/s with an uncertainty of 30%.
