Field-aligned beams and reconnection in the jovian magnetotail

► For the first time we show that many particle field-aligned beams in the jovian magnetotail are associated with reconnection signatures. ► We present for the first time observations of the counterstreaming electron beams in the plasma sheet boundary layers and in reconnection context. ► We demonstrate for the first time the electron beam layer structure during reconnection event.
