Abstract
⺠Reanalysis of Voyager Uranus radio occultation results yields new profiles for CH4. ⺠Model CCD spectra are computed for each profile using compact cloud layers. ⺠The fit to observed spectra is best with profiles having about four pressure percent deep methane. ⺠The best model upper compact cloud matches the CH4 occultation cloud. ⺠From 45 to 60°S methane is increasingly depleted to a depth of several bars.
