Abstract
Thus obliquity, like eccentricity, can protect certain areas of the planet from the worst extremes of temperature and solar radiation, and can improve the planet's habitability. These results also have implications for the direct detectability of extrasolar planets, and for the interpretation of their thermal emissions.
