Abstract
► We run TitanWRF without sub-grid-scale horizontal diffusion. ► We find that our simulations produce roughly the observed superrotation on Titan. ► We show that it is generated during episodic angular momentum 'transfer events.' ► We suggest that these events are produced by barotropic waves. ► We identify the dominant waves responsible at selected times.
