Abstract
⺠We report combined measurements of gravity waves with an airglow imager and ALOMAR lidars. ⺠A mesoscale gravity wave observed in airglow images was also identified in the lidar temperature. ⺠Ray tracing analysis was made to investigate the wave source of the observed wave in the airglow. ⺠This study suggested that the wave was generated from the polar jet via the geostrophic adjustment.
