Abstract
⺠A two-moment mixed-phase cloud scheme used to study the cloud-aerosol interaction. ⺠Active and suppressed convection events are simulated over Indian peninsular region. ⺠The cloud microphysical properties reproduce well as compared with observation. ⺠Rainfall is also reasonably well simulated particularly in suppressed events. ⺠Inclusion of aerosols as CCN has a key role in the monsoon cloud system.
