Abstract
⺠Long-term trends of observed hmF2 and foF2 values are derived by two different methods. ⺠The trends derived by both methods reasonably agree with each other and with model results. ⺠During the solar cycle 23/24 minimum the hmF2 values are markedly lower than expected.
