Abstract
⺠Firm relation between cycle-average sunspot number and global temperatures 1850-1980. ⺠The relation suggests that variations in global temperatures relate to changes in TSI. ⺠Minor modulation during individual cycles excludes mechanisms such as the GCR model. ⺠Solar cycle length found to be an inconsistent parameter for global temperature changes. ⺠Timing suggests sun's internal energy transmission is modulated by its magnetic fields.
