Abstract

•Light curves of B, V, Rc and Ic bands are obtained ,it is the first time we obtained B-band data of NSVS 10653195.•We present new light curve analysis of the known detached eclipsing binary NSVS 10653195.•The asymmetrical of the light curves of NSVS 10653195 suggest a magnetic activity.•Two star-spot model is used to fit the asymmetrical light curves.•The change of orbital period is analyzed in the first time which is decreasing.

New CCD photometric light curves of the low-mass binary system NSVS 10653195 are presented. Our complete B, V, Rc and Ic-band light curves show a remarkable out-eclipsing distortion. This phenomenon suggests that the components of the system may be active. The photometric solutions with star-spot were derived by using the 2013 version of the Wilson–Devinney (WD) code. Based on all available times of light minimum, we analyzed the orbital period changes. The O–C   diagram reveals that the period of NSVS 10653195 is decreasing at a rate of dP/dt=−2.79×10−7dP/dt=−2.79×10−7 days yr−1,−1, which is probably caused by angular momentum loss.
