Abstract

We present VRI light curves and spectra in the wavelength range 8110–9140 Å of the binary CoRoT 102932176. From the comparison of the spectra of CoRoT 102932176 with standard stars we classify the primary component of the binary as a type F0V star, while the secondary seems to be a late type K4V star.From the fit of the VRI light curves we derive the absolute stellar parameters: M1 = 1.58 ±± 0.15 M⊙, Teff,1 = 7300 ±± 50 K, R1 = 1.63 ±± 0.05 R⊙, M2 = 0.64 ±± 0.06 M⊙, Teff,2 = 4547 ±± 80 K, R2 = 0.73 ±± 0.02 R⊙.The solutions show that CoRoT 102932176 is a detached system, with main-sequence components, an age log t(yr) ≃≃ 8.90 and located at about 760 pc from Earth.
