Abstract
We examine here the Sloan Digital Sky Survey Data Release 2 (SDSS DR2) sample of type-2 Active Galactic Nuclei (AGN). We concentrate upon trends within the emission line ratios of these objects, and possible correlations with the emission line ratios with host properties. We find that the two classes of AGN, Seyferts and LINERs, are clearly distinguishable in emission line ratio diagrams, and that these two classes have distinct host properties. We also find that the AGN host galaxy properties change with an increasing contribution of star formation to the total emission line spectrum.
