Abstract
► Main features of large scale magnetic fields in the Venus ionosphere are reviewed. ► Effects of these fields on ionosphere reported by various authors are discussed. ► These fields and Venus ionosphere are generally limited to the altitudes below 200 km. ► As local equilibrium prevails, so no effects of fields on ionosphere are expected. ► Observations too reveal no detectable effect of these fields on Venus ionosphere.
