Abstract
⺠Analyzed FIPS plasma data from MESSENGER 1st and 2nd Mercury flybys. ⺠Identified major features of the Mercury magnetosphere in these data. ⺠Developed forward modeling technique to recover density and temperature. ⺠Discussed proton moments from central plasma sheet and two boundary layers. ⺠Suggested role for heavy ions in dayside boundary layer.
