Abstract
Novel asymmetric N-carboxyalkyl-N′-alkylcarbocyanines and symmetric N,N′-dicarboxyalkylcarbocyanines derived from benzoselenazole have been synthesized and fully characterized by 1H and 13C NMR, FTIR and visible spectroscopy and HR-FAB-MS.
