Abstract
We present the analytical solution of the axisymmetric mixed problem for the isotropic half-space with the surface fixed elastically outside the circular area of the application of a distributed load. In the solution of the problem, the transition procedure from a distributed load to the concentrated force has been justified. A compact form of the exact analytical solution of the problem on the concentrated force applied to the half-space with the surface fixed elastically was obtained. In the specific case when the proportionality factor of normal stresses and displacements vanishing under the condition of the elastic fixing of the boundary, the constructed analytical solution was shown to coincide with the well-known Boussinesq formulae.
