Abstract
⺠Stoichiometric mixtures of LiFâ(Gd1âxLux)F3 were submitted to one Zone Melting cycle. ⺠Crystal growth of LiGd1âxLuxF4 solid solutions were obtained in part of the ingots. ⺠Ingots were characterized by SEM, EDS and X-ray powder diffraction. ⺠Transparent regions of the bars were proportionally to the initial Lu concentration.
