Abstract
⺠Growth of shape-controlled LTG crystal by m-PD method for reducing the cost of forming process. ⺠Columnar-shaped LTG crystals that had a-axis and c-axis crystal orientation were grown by the m-PD method. ⺠Grown LTG crystal was identified by the langasite-type structure and the lattice parameters were almost the same as those of the Cz crystal. ⺠The center part of the crystal was composed of LTG with La-rich and Ta-, Ga-poor chemical composition. ⺠The piezoelectric constant d11 measured using the plate-shape LTG crystal was 6.7 pC/N.
