Abstract
⺠Model for effective segregation coefficient keff is presented. ⺠keff is a function convective mass transfer coefficient. ⺠keff equation is mass conservation, simpler than BPS, and correct. ⺠More general than BPS: accounts for natural and forced convection, turbulence. ⺠Diffusion coefficients in germanium and silicon were obtained.
