Abstract
A new double borate Li6Lu(BO3)3:Ce crystal with dimensions up to Φ35×21 mm3 was prepared by the Czochralski method. The X-ray diffraction pattern of the crystal was measured. The melting point and solidifying point of the Li6Lu(BO3)3:Ce crystal were measured by DSC. Its luminescence properties at room temperature were investigated by ultraviolet fluorescence spectrometer and X-ray stimulated luminescence (XSL) spectrometer. According to these dates, we consider that the Li6Lu(BO3)3:Ce crystal is a promising scintillator.
