Abstract
Er3+:Li2Gd4(MoO4)7 crystal with dimensions of â
20Ã25 mm3 was grown by the Czochralski method. The thermal properties of Er3+:Li2Gd4(MoO4)7 crystal were investigated. The spectroscopic properties of Er3+:Li2Gd4(MoO4)7 crystal were investigated. Based on the Judd-Ofelt theory, the oscillator strength parameters Ωt and radiative lifetimes were calculated. The emission cross-sections and gain emission cross-section were calculated. In comparison with other Er3+-doped crystals, Er3+:Li2Gd4(MoO4)7 crystal may be regarded as a potential solid-state laser host material.
