Abstract
We report on a crystal growth by the travelling solvent floating zone method and characterization of the layered perovskite Tb0.9Dy0.1BaCo2O5+δ. The crystal was grown with a rate of 0.5 mm/h in a gas mixture of 2% O2 in Ar. X-ray diffraction data, electrical and magnetization measurements of the single crystal are reported.
