Abstract
An Nd3+ doped calcium tantalum gallium garnet (CTGG) crystal with dimensions of φ25 mm×40 mm was successfully grown for the first time by the Czochralski method. X-ray powder diffraction pattern of Nd3+:CTGG was given out, and the structure parameters were calculated. Its absorption and fluorescence spectra were measured at room temperature. The laser output at 1.06 μm is performed when it is pumped by a laser diode.
