Abstract
An Nd3+Nd3+:Li3Ba2Y3(MoO4)8Li3Ba2Y3(MoO4)8 crystal with dimensions of 35×25×6mm3 has been successfully grown from a flux of Li2MoO4Li2MoO4. The spectroscopic characterization of Nd3+Nd3+:Li3Ba2Y3(MoO4)8Li3Ba2Y3(MoO4)8 crystal was investigated. The oscillator intensity parameters ΩλΩλ are Ω2=2.21×10-19cm2, Ω4=7.00×10-19cm2, Ω6=6.90×10-20cm2. The radiative lifetime and the fluorescence lifetime are 111 and 106μs, respectively. The absorption cross-sections σaσa is 10.64×10-20cm2 at 804 nm. The emission cross-section σemσem is 1.16×10-19cm2 at 1064 nm. Nd3+Nd3+:Li3Ba2Y3(MoO4)8Li3Ba2Y3(MoO4)8 crystal may be regarded as a potential solid-state laser medium material.
