Abstract
We report the structural characterization of low aspect ratio CdSe nanorods synthesized by a multiple injection method. We extract information from high-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) and powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) data to determine the shape and structural details of nanocrystalline CdSe rods. Our modeling suggests the nanocrystals are elongated hexagonal prisms truncated at the corners.
