Abstract
KDP crystals were grown from aqueous solution doped with different concentration of Sn4+Sn4+ dopant by using the traditional temperature-reduction method. Furthermore, we examined the XRD pattern, detected light scatter and measured the transmission of these KDP crystals. We found that the dopant of Sn4+Sn4+ ion can greatly improve the stability of the KDP growth solution, and reduce the crystal growth rate. The effects of Sn4+Sn4+ ion on the growth habit and optical properties of KDP crystal are also obvious.
