Abstract
The critical exponents in Fe80âxVxB12Si8 (x=8, 10 and 13.7) amorphous alloys were investigated near ferromagnetic to paramagnetic phase transition temperature. All amorphous alloys exhibit a second order ferromagnetic to paramagnetic phase transition (SOMT). The critical exponents (β, γ and δ) were estimated using the modified Arrott plot technique (MAP), the Widom scaling relation (WSR), and the critical isotherm analysis (CIA). In addition, an independent analysis of the critical behavior is presented in terms of the magnetocaloric effect (MCE). It shows in accordance with conclusion from magnetization data analysis. The estimated critical exponent values are found to be consistent and comparable to those predicted by the mean field model. This result points out to the ferromagnetic exchange interaction of long-range type.
