Abstract

•Effects of magnetohydrodynamics and thermophoresis on the flow.•Diffusion of chemically reactive species is considered by taking homogeneous reaction.•Effects of heat generation/absorption over a porous oscillating sheet.•Similar solutions of nonlinear partial differential equations are constructed analytically in series form.

The effects of chemical reaction and heat generation/absorption on MHD flow over an oscillatory stretching surface in a viscous fluid have been studied in the presence of thermophoresis. The porous plate is oscillated back and forth in its own plane and suction/injection is also taking into account. The similarity solution of the developed non-linear governing partial differential equations is constructed in the form of series using homotopy analysis method. The convergence of the obtained series solutions is discussed in the whole domain (0≤η≤∞).(0≤η≤∞). A parametric study of the all governing parameters is accomplished and the physical results are shown graphically.
