Abstract
In this paper we study the quantum phase transitions in a three-dimensional antiferromagnetic J1âJ2 xy model for spin 1 with coupling between planes α=Jâ²J1, single ion anisotropy D and ring exchange interactions K>0. We investigate the zero temperature phase diagram of the model using Schwinger's boson SU(3) method. We find an intermediate disordered magnetic phase, which separates the ordered phase at wave vector k=(Ï,Ï,Ï) (J1>>J2) and the stripe antiferromagnetic phase (J1<
