Abstract
► Thin Nd0.67Ba0.33MnO3 epitaxial films were grown on perovskite substrates by PLD. ► Films grow strained when substrate induces compressive strain, but relaxed for tensile strain. ► The unit cell volume depends on deposition conditions and follows volume-preserving dilation. ► Magnetic properties of the films depend on bulk and bi-axial strain. ► TCurie of the films increase when the unit cell volume is expanded.
