Abstract
âºBlood samples are characterized by higher concentration of ferrimagnetic particles. âºAtherosclerotic blood samples consist of larger superparamagnetic clusters. âºSuperparamagnetic particles in pathological samples are considered to be magnetite. âºThe formation of ferrimagnetic particles is favoured in the atherosclerotic patients. âºMagnetite may play a role in the progression of atherosclerosis.
