Abstract
The ternary intermetallic TmAgSi compound which crystallizes in the hexagonal ZrNiAl-type crystal structure. TmAgSi has been investigated by means of magnetic, heat capacity and neutron diffraction measurements. The experimental data revealed the presence of an antiferromagnetic ordering below TN = 3.3 K with the magnetic moments lying within the basal plane. At 1.5 K they are equal to 6.31(6)μB. The determined magnetic structure is non-collinear and can be described by three different propagation vectors: kâ=[12,0,0], kââ²=[â12,12,0] and kââ²â²=[0,â12,0].
