Abstract
The results of elastic and inelastic neutron scattering in MnF2 films with orthorhombic crystal structure demonstrate that size-effect for the temperature of the magnetic transition appears for rather thick films 120-1250Â nm. This is attributed to the low anisotropy energy in the films inferred from the spin-wave gap.
