Abstract
The magnetic ordering in ErPtIn, crystallizing in the hexagonal ZrNiAl-type structure, has been investigated by neutron diffractometry in the temperature range between 1.6 and 30.3 K. Er magnetic moment in ErPtIn has been found to order ferromagnetically below 13(1) K. The erbium magnetic moment is parallel to the c-axis. Bulk magnetic measurements are also reported.
