Abstract
La0.7Ca0.3MnO3La0.7Ca0.3MnO3 films were grown on SrTiO3SrTiO3 and LaAlO3LaAlO3 substrates using pulsed laser deposition. The films were characterized by magnetization and AC-susceptibility measurements. AC-susceptibility shows the occurrence of a secondary permeability maximum in all films studied. The location of the secondary permeability maximum depends sensitively on the strain state of the film. It is proposed that it arises from an interplay between stress anisotropy and magnetocrystalline anisotropy.
