Abstract
The density of states has been determined from the energy-wave vector E–k dispersion relation. In this work, the density of states (DOS) for ZnSxSe1−x (0≤x≤1) materials with unperturbed energy band structures is studied in the presence of a uniform magnetic field. The DOS is shown to depend on the electron energy and the magnetic field. A new equation for Fermi energy is presented. It has been shown that the Fermi energy increases with carrier concentration in the presence of a uniform magnetic field.
