Abstract
Based on the Ising-type Hamiltonian and the lattice-gas model, the description of metal nanoparticles formation is proposed. The only interparticle interactions and influence of the medium (in a form of external field) are considered. The grand thermodynamic potential of the system is calculated and other thermodynamical functions are analyzed. The size of nanoparticle is estimated, the role of the model parameters in the process of its growth is discussed.
