Abstract
The phase diagrams and magnetizations of two nanoscaled thin films with dilution at the surfaces are investigated by the use of the effective field theory with correlations. In particular, the effects of interlayer coupling between the surface and the next inner layer on them are discussed for the two thin films with a thickness L (L=3 and L=4). A number of interesting phenomena have been found in the phase diagrams and the thermal variations of magnetizations, such as a broad maximum in the variation of transition temperature and the behavior of compensation point, showing completely different features between the two systems.
