Abstract
► Mn2+ in Y3MnxAl5−2xSixO12 emits broadband orange light. ► The emission peak moves to longer wavelength with an increment inco-doping content x. ► The emission intensity of the phosphors increases when the value of x is lower than 0.1 and decreases when it is higher than 0.1.
