Abstract
Nonlinear optical (NLO) Meta nitroaniline (mNA) crystal of dimensions up to 20×7×8 mm3 was successfully grown by slow evaporation technique. The grown crystal was confirmed by powder X-ray diffraction, proton FT-NMR and FT-IR analysis. The crystal was also characterized by UV–Vis–NIR, thermal, and microhardness studies. The dielectric constant and dielectric loss of the crystal were studied as function of frequency. Photoconductivity studies were also carried out on the sample. Kurtz and Perry powder second harmonic generation (SHG) measurement confirms the NLO property of the grown crystals.
