Abstract
Li0.4â0.5xZn0.2Nix Fe2.4â0.5xO4 ferrites with x varying from 0.02 to 0.1 in steps of 0.02 have been synthesized by the citrate precursor method and investigated for their dielectric properties. A decrease in the value of room temperature dielectric constant is observed with the increase in Ni concentration. It has been explained in terms of space charge polarization and Koop's two layer model. The variation in dielectric constant with frequency shows dispersion while a resonance peak could be seen in the variation of dielectric loss with frequency. With increase in temperature the dielectric constant and dielectric loss increased, which have been discussed in terms of polarization and the Debye-type of dispersion. Possible mechanism contributing to the above process is discussed.
